Is Your Backyard Ready For Fall?
|
Prune and Rehome – Dispose of your annual flowers as it is never festive to look at dead plants (unless you’re Morticia Adams for Halloween!). As you cut back the dead and wilted stems, it will give your backyard space a much cleaner look as we move into the cooler months.
Wood Work – Is your property fenced or have a wooden gazebo? To prevent any damage during the cold seasons, it is best to inspect the current status of the wood and repair, or replace, as necessary. It can also be a great time to re-paint or stain to seal the wood-grain.
Light It Up – As the days become shorter but the weather is still comfortable, it can be a great idea to install lighting in your backyard. Consider pathways lit with outdoor wall lamps, or even strings of lights through the trees. This small touch will add warmth as well as security to your outdoor space!
