Enjoying the Outdoors – Without All the Bugs
|Relaxing in the good old outdoors can be a soothing way to wind down after a long day at work. The only problem is mosquitoes and other bugs also seem to favor this time of night. Your peaceful moment of sipping a beverage and stepping away from everything to sit for a while under your gazebo could be totally disrupted by bug bites or swarms of gnats. Luckily, there are a few ways to avoid getting eaten up while you spend time in the backyard.
Bug Spray – It may not smell that great, but it is effective. You can grab bug spray at most gas stations. Just make a last minute stop on your way home and keep it handy as you head outside.
Candles – Citronella or Off! Candles can help repel bugs, spiders and other crawling things that might interrupt your evening. These also add to the mood by providing soothing lighting.
Screens – While getting a screened gazebo is a much bigger endeavor, this simple addition is certain to keep critters out. Whether it’s day or night, this layer of screen can keep you protected from any bugs that might typically disturb you.
You have options – bug spray, candles, and screens – or you could just hang out in a ventilated beekeeping suit. The choice is yours!
