Gazebos are usually freestanding structures that provide both shelter and shade from the weather. In most places, it is a place where people can rest, enjoy the landscape around them, or convene for events.  They can be attached to a wall, but they are most often roofed and opened on all sides with supporting pillars. They are popular in climates that receive a lot of sun during the summer months and are typically built out of wood with ornate designs. Wooden Gazebos not only protect you from rain and the burning rays of the sun, but there are actually different types that can be used for various functions. Here are a few types and their available features:

• Garden Gazebo: these will be most commonly found in amongst scenic parks where there are plenty of flower gardens. They may also be found in recreational parks along water shorelines or in and around pavilion type buildings. These types of gazebos are great for outdoor events such as parties, weddings or catering functions and they come in elaborate designs and shapes. They are made most often with high quality, durable wood, vinyl or metal such as steel.

Unless you are planning on traveling or getting a gazebo for your garden, you’re more than likely going to be going with wooden gazebos as these are the most durable and have the most functionality.
