Buying a Gazebo: What to Ask Before Buying! : Part I
|Whether you are looking to buy a pre-made gazebo or are looking to build your own (or have one built for you), you are going to want to make sure you ask the right questions along the way. From what materials should be used, to what designs you want, to whether you want your gazebo to have a flooring space or pillars. When buying a pre-made, there will be fewer decisions to be made and fewer choices, but you will still need to know what function you want it to serve and what your preferences are. With this said here are some questions you should be asking yourself when looking at wooden gazebos for sale:
- What purpose is this gazebo going to take on? Basically, this type of question looks at why you are buying a gazebo and what you want to get out of having one. By outlining what you want the structure to do, you will be able to better design one or pick out a pre-made one that will execute what you want. Pinpointing this purpose will make the purchasing or the designing phase smoother and quicker.
- Is there space for it and where will it go? You need to have ample space for it and know whether you want a concrete base or a wood base for it to sit on. Be careful in choosing where you want it to go as it can either become a cornerstone piece of your garden or hot tub area, or it can be the focal point of your space. Think about whether you want it to blend in with what you have or stand out. Always check with your HOA or local zoning dept to confirm the size and square ft allowed on your property.
